Fayetteville Surgical Associates is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas at
3264 N Northhills Blvd., just east of the Washington Regional Medical

What are your office hours? |
|
|
| |
We are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday except major
holidays. If you have a billing question, please call during those
hours. If you have a non-urgent question for our surgical staff, also
please call during those hours. If you have an urgent question after
hours, please call the Washington Regional Medical Center (479.463.1000)
and ask for the Fayetteville Surgical Associates physician on call.

How much will my surgery cost? |

Many factors go in to the total cost for your medical care including
type of surgery needed, your insurance plan and other related factors.
Our staff will discuss the potential costs and possible payment plans
with you at your first visit.

Is my surgery covered by insurance? |
|
|
| |
We accept many health insurance plans. Please review the list to make sure we are in-network with your insurance provider. Keep in mind you must also make sure that the healthcare facility where you are receiving your surgery (Washington Regional Medical Center of North Hills Surgery Center) is covered by your insurance plan. If you have questions, contact our office or your insurance provider.

What is minimally invasive surgery? |
|
|
| |
Also called laparoscopic surgery, the minimally invasive surgery
technique uses several small incisions instead of the more traditional,
larger incisions. Our surgeons use special tools and scopes to be able
to see and maneuver within the surgical area. Laparoscopic surgeries
reduce bleeding, complications and recovery time. Minimally invasive
surgeries are considered to be just as safe as traditional surgery.

Will my surgery hurt? |

|
| |
As with any medical procedure, some discomfort is to be expected. Our surgical staff will work with you to provide instructions and medication that will help make you more comfortable in the days after your surgery. The amount of pain you are expected to experience after surgery is reduced with having laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery.

What will my recovery be like? |
|
|
| |
Each person’s recovery experience is based on the individual surgery that was performed, the patient’s pre-existing health, and other factors. Our surgical staff will review expected recovery times, follow-up care instructions and other information you will need to help make your recovery go as smoothly and quickly as possible. It is vital that you follow all of your post-operative instructions to insure that your recovery goes as well as possible.

When can I go back to work? |

Your ability to return to work after surgery will depend on the type of surgery you have and how well you recover. When you are cleared by your surgeon to return to work keep in mind there may be additional restrictions (such as lifting, etc.) that your surgeon will discuss with you.
